This year, for the first time ever, children of all ages, no matter their location, can experience first hand the delight and wonder of the Sprint CTA Holiday Train and Bus! ScanDimensions, a preferred partner-provider of Matterport Technology, and the CTA partnered to bring the experience to your web-connected smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop.

Every December since 1992, the Chicago Transit Authority has brought holiday cheer and good tidings to their riders with the Sprint CTA Holiday Train. The Sprint CTA Holiday Bus, was added to the festivities in 2013.
Done as a way to show gratitude to customers and in support of the CTA’s charitable activities, the elaborately decorated trains and buses feature seasonal music, a live Santa, bright lights and over-the-top decorations. Every inch of the interiors is covered in Christmas cheer, from the candy cane guard rails and holiday wrapped seats, to the life-size fireplace and Christmas tree. The bus’s exterior features “Ralphie the Reindeer” with his red nose leading the way and pulling Santa’s sleigh over downtown Chicago. Sprint is a proud sponsor of both the trains and buses.
The CTA also continues a more-than-20-year agency tradition of supporting Chicago communities. Every year, CTA employees embrace the spirit of the holidays and donate time and money to purchase groceries and assemble food baskets that are distributed to community organizations across the city. Each food basket contains all the ingredients for a complete meal including a canned ham, potatoes, mixed vegetables, muffin mix, macaroni and cheese, fruit cocktail, green beans, corn and dessert. They donate approximately 300 food baskets to local community organizations — many delivered via the train or bus.
