One of Firefly’s homes is also our featured scan of the week.
This house is located on N. Lake Drive and is across the street from Lake Michigan. It’s a large historic home with the original wood floors still intact. The kitchen has been completely updated, and there is also a recent addition on the back of the home. The addition includes a family room, eatery and a walk-out lower level.
On the way up to the second floor, there’s a nifty little room that can be used as an office. The second floor has four bedrooms, all of which are good-sized. Three of the bedrooms share a bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower; the master bedroom has its own full bathroom.
My three favorite features of this home are its great bones, the location and the use of skylights. There was one in the eat-in kitchen and also in the master bath. I was there in the afternoon, and the amount of light the two skylights let in was amazing! Natural light was abundant throughout the home with its large windows, and the skylights added to it as well.
