Featured Scan Week of July 20th

This week’s post on ScanDimension’s featured scan of the week is a two-for-one special. Last Friday, I went into the suburbs to scan two homes for Greenscape Homes. Greenscape builds brand new homes from the ground up and then stages them to sell. Our 3D scans can be especially useful to Greenscape in how the scans allow it to show off its various models of home to potential buyers. For example, the two homes I scanned were a Hawthorne and a Manchester. If people liked the size, layout and other features, they could choose a location where they’d want their new home and customize it along the way.

This was the first time I have scanned brand new homes, and it was awesome. Both had open layouts, which is always enjoyable when scanning, and were bright and airy. Color was minimal with contemporary decorating throughout the home. These features, I think, contributed to the great turnout of the scan.

I may have slightly fallen in love with 433 S. Craig. Its ~2,700 square feet provides plenty of space, yet the design and layout still made the home feel cozy. I loved the kitchen; I see it being functional for families on a daily basis, and also great for entertaining.

The second home, at 497 Alexander in Elmhurst, was a bit bigger at 3,400 square feet. My favorite features in this home were the tray ceilings in the dining room and the fact that three of the home’s four bedrooms had direct access to full bathrooms. In other words, this home would be absolutely perfect for a family with teenage daughters. I’m kidding, but not really. My seventeen-year-old (or present?) self was definitely jealous of the new family moving into this house.

Both of these homes have walk-in closets in each bedroom and a large laundry room on the second level. I think that’s probably one of the biggest perks of having a brand new home. I very much enjoyed scanning both of these homes, and am looking forward to doing more scans for Greenscape Homes in the future.

Until next week!
